Cooly Rocks’ On - Australia’s largest 1950’s and 60’s nostalgia festival - is an annual event held in Coolangatta, Australia.

MORE than 100,000 people, 1000 hot rods and custom cars and rock & roll dancers and musicians came down to Coolangatta and Tweed Heads for the fun filled week.

This year, the festival ran between 3 until 13 June 2016. Crowds, performers and exhibitors agreed this year’s event was one of the best despite some intermittent rain periods.

For the first time, Timezone Gold Coast was involved in this event, with our newest store Timezone Coolangatta featuring in the week long promotion.

We took part in the official street parade held on Saturday, 11 June 2016 from 9.30am – 11.30am and Timezone Coolangatta hosting the official “Cooly Rocks On’ Pinball Competition”.

The street parade went through the streets of Coolangatta & Tweed Heads where thousands of people, young and young at heart alike lined the streets cheering and having a great time.

Timezone was part of the street parade which featured the popular Powie and Bath Tub racers. Along the way, we also distributed show bags and brochures.

While the “Cooly Rocks On’ Pinball Competition”- hosted by Timezone Coolangatta - was organized by Cooly Rocks’ On and Coolangatta - Tweed Heads Pinball Club.

The competition attracted a lot of interest from pinball enthusiasts and the wider community.
The first prize winner won 4 tickets to “Dream Lover the Bobby Darin Musical” in Sydney, Australia.
Stern Pinball also sent some pinball machines’ collaterals to support the competition.

Timezone Gold Coast looks forward to next year’s Cooly Rocks On!
